Höhenbrand-Kelchsau natural toboggan run (3.3 km)
You can get to this toboggan run by walking through forests and snow-covered fields from Foisching to the Höhenbrandalm in 50 minutes. Alternatively you can cover the majority of the route by chairlift. It's then just a 15-minute walk from the lift station to the start of the toboggan run.
Haagalm Hopfgarten natural toboggan run (3.7 km)
Follow the main road through Penning to the car park at the valley head. From the car park follow the signs towards Haagalm, which you will reach after walking for roughly one hour and 20 minutes The Haagalm mountain restaurant there is ideal for warming up and fortifying yourself before heading off back down to the valley on a toboggan.
Kirchholz – Hopfgarten toboggan run (1.7 km)
You can even be out and about at night on this toboggan run thanks to floodlighting every day until midnight. From the lift car park in Hopfgarten you walk along the Lindrainweg to the Sunnseithütte where the toboggan run starts. You can take the lift to the middle station too.
Schlossberg – Itter toboggan run (0.9 km)
An easy toboggan run that is perfect for families with children can also be found in Itter. The just under a kilometre long route leads from the village square in Itter to the Schlossberg camp site where the Schlossbergstüberl invites you to rest and indulge. The toboggan run is floodlit until 10.00 p.m.
Hochsöll family toboggan run (floodlit)
The Hexenritt toboggan run in Skiwelt Söll also promises lots of fun. The Hochsöll gondola takes you up to where 3 kilometres of tobogganing fun back to the valley station await you. The toboggan run is open every day from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. as well as from Wednesday to Saturday from 6.30 to 9.30 p.m. (floodlit until 1.00 a.m.).
Toboggan runs in the Wildschönau
You can tackle two toboggan runs in the Wildschönau: the 5-kilometre long toboggan run on the Schatzbeg in a family-friendly and more difficult version as well as the sporty Lanerköpfl toboggan run at the Markbach Pass.
